Out of hours please call 111
It is important to remember that the out of hours service is for urgent problems only. In life threatening emergencies, such as severe bleeding, collapse, unconsciousness or severe chest pain, telephone 999 for an ambulance first and then call Dunbar 861401.
Your call will be put straight through to NHS24 where a trained nurse will discuss your problem with you and advise what is best to do. If it is felt you need to see a doctor she/he will make the appropriate arrangements. You may be asked to go to Roodlands Hospital in Haddington (or The Royal Infirmary after midnight) for the consultation. Please note that we no longer use an answering machine and your call will always be answered directly.
